Das Schlossgespenst
My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,
I wonder how many times I have bought this game now? And how many times I have given it away to someone with children?
Midnight Party, is just the BEST game to play with small children. It is also great fun for immature people like me.
It is now called "Hugo: Das Schlossgespenst" and features both the original AND an alternate version of the rules with a different board.
Shenée and I worked from home today. She was putting on her make-up during our first meeting.
"Oh, you're one of the girls now," she told me. As she applied something.
"I need to tell you about something EXCITING!" I said and held Hugo up to the camera. Now we both can't wait to play it.
This is typically how we start our days these days. We get around to work eventually.
However, Shenée looked a bit worn down today and I asked how she was doing.
She sighed. There was, she said, yet ANOTHER battle to be fought. It is so weird. The project is going great! It is ahead of time and under-budget! The entire team is happy!
So DOUBLE-YEW THE ACTUAL EFF?!?
I wish these effing pygmy-intellects at Kainga Ora would just leave her the eff alone. There is NO PROBLEM here. But they continue to harry and harass her. She feels like it is personal now, and it is hard to see things any other way.
Unfortunately I was unable to take Shenée out of the office today, so instead I introduced her to Drunk History which she really seemed to enjoy. She was smiling and happy anyway. And that made me happy too.
And then Caro came home from having her hair done in town. It appears that the level 2 lockdown imposed on Wellington after the Rogue Australian visited has cleared the streets.
So, strangely enough, Caro was non-stressed and happy when she got home. She hates crowds. We had a nice afternoon and evening together and I even remembered to tell her how nice she looked.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy about this mini-lockdown, but it's nice to spend time with Caro again. I have really missed her.
And Shenée - if you feel grumpy again, you are always welcome to visit us. Maybe I'll give you some "live" Drunk History. Or maybe Hugo will come to say hello.
