Doug

There was a farm sale in the village this morning.  The farmer (extra) is winding down and the contents of the farm - and probably a few others - were up for auction. These occasions are where the farming community for miles around get together so there is plenty of chat and some amazing characters; perfect for people watching.

The camera club 'Chairman's Challenge' for the summer includes 'portrait of a stranger'.  I know asking to take someone's photo is challenging so when I noticed Doug I just had to do it; I find it best to just ask without thinking about it!  I didn't know his name until a while later as I then spent a long time just talking to him.  The other interesting character who posed for me had a great tee-shirt.
