The Final Day
We decided on a trip to Preston Mill. The oldest and only remaining Oatmeal mill in Scotland (or so we were told). It was recorded as been repaired in 1590 so predates that. The building in the foreground is where the oats were dried and the transferred to the water mill for grinding into Oatmeal. The area is prone to flooding and stones marked the heights of the various floods which occur all too regularly.
The extra are two from the mill plus we migrated onto the coast for a longer walk with Jet. A great way to end our stay. The weather has been much better than expected with rain arriving this evening. Home tomorrow we were going to stop off on the way but we may forgo that if the weather continues to be wet.
Thank you for your comments stars and hearts for my Blips.
