Busy today!

We had to go out to the Fed Ex depot at Newbridge today. Making the most of the improvement in the weather we went to the Bridge Inn and sat in the sun. The canal was very busy, a barge along every 5 minutes. These swans came calmly by looking very picturesque in the sunshine. As well as the barges there were four different groups of canoeists too, including 2 men in inflatable crocodile canoes.
Lots of birds around including some very tuneful wrens.
I popped into Lidl on the way home and picked up three 1kg packs of strawberries for £2.99 each ready to make my first batch of jam. I couldn't pick them for that price.
We met up with Katy briefly too but got our timing wrong so ended up walking the streets rather than sitting having a coffee. No football tonight so we'll watch a Rebus. Keep safe and well everyone. There are very high covid figures in Scotland again today. One has to think it has a connection with the Euros.
