Cow parsley and mallow

Busy work day.  Yesterday was pleasingly quiet email-wise, but that all changed today!  Finally stopped work a little after 6pm, and got out for a quick walk before dinner.  I was quite dismayed to find that most of the (lovely meadowy) heath had been mowed within an inch of its life.  Worse still, the beautiful flowery verge I discovered the other day seemed to have been largely strimmed too.  Bloody criminal!  Some of it was still intact, so I grabbed a few photos.  The heath I can kind of understand, but why the roadside verge?  Grrrrr.

Glad to hear from my sister that my nephew had made it back to work and was doing OK.  Keeping everything crossed for him to avoid another seizure.
