The dropped stitch

By Bodkin

At the mercy of the weather

This morning there was gentle, quiet rain. Just what the garden needed.

By this afternoon the wind was up and the rain was heavier. Poor plants! Some, like the sunflowers, are staked, but so many will suffer. I've stopped looking out of the window. Will wait for tomorrow to inspect the damage.

Working in the South Parish this afternoon and drove past this old wooden building again.
Each time I've blipped it there is a little more gone. The wind is gradually taking it away. Today's grey weather reflects its sad state.

Here is what it looked like in November 2019
and again, a while before that, in August 2018
