Military cemetery at Elvas

(What a senseless waste of human life) Looking out towards Spain from the extensive fortifications at Elvas. After a service in the military cemetery chapel we got to know some of the rather interesting expats who attended and found that one lady had lived in Lesotho at the same time as me and had even stayed in my house but before I got there. We have a lot of friends in common. (For Kendal's information she was working at Leribe with the Sisters of the Holy Name and her name is Eluned - which is a Welsh version of Lynn)
