I Hope It’s A Turning Point...

A quiet evening up at the yard as there was only me there to start with. I gave China a good lunge in the school and then decided to take him out for a walk.

One of the things we have struggled with at this yard is walking him out in hand. He was great at Mel’s but something is different here and he is extremely reactive walking up the drive and will stop and spin and generally not be happy. I have been working away at it, taking him a short way, using clicker techniques or with other horses and this evening I was really pleased that he just walked out (with encouragement) all the way along the (0.3 mile) drive and around the block quite happily. I hope it’s a turning point with this particular challenge now!
