The News We Have Been Dreading

Sushi, Dylan and I headed up through the woods to the top of the hill on our walk today..it was glorious.

Eldest phoned this evening with the news we had been dreading...he’s tested positive for COVID. He’s ok, just feeling under the weather and very tired, his housemate tested positive last week so we are not really surprised. The problem is that he was supposed to be leaving Manchester and coming home this weekend as his house lease is ending next week! We think from start of symptoms he will have had his 10 days isolation by Tuesday and so one of us will have to drive and pick him up after work, not ideal but manageable at least.

The news didn’t put me off having a really lovely evening out with the girls though. It has been 18 months since we last got together so lots to catch up on, especially as two of them had babies in that time. We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked another evening out next month.
