Morning Walk

Not that there were heaps of folk about on a chilly Friday. The usual U3A meeting for 10,30 had become a Zoom and was a really interesting presentation from a Bloke from Internet NZ. With the loss of cheques in NZ  many older folk are struggling to come to grips with Banking on the web and Apps and education is required to avoid the potential disasters of clicking a dodgy link in an uninvited email. Many older folk have no internet experience at all as technology has passed them at high speed..There was  discussion on mobile phone brands and privacy and the role of the huge social media giants in their pursuit of $$$. Do you know that the length of time that you spend reading stuff on a 'certain site'  is used to decide what other stuff you are given to read on that site?
