Or sea pinks, if you prefer. The cliffs and rocks are covered with them, but their flowers are mostly fading now. The little yellow tormentil and blue squill are still going strong and the bird's foot trefoil too, but just starting to appear are the purple vetch flowers.


Lots of curlews, oystercatchers and lapwings around.  Skylarks and pipits sitting on fenceposts and eiders and shelduck with ducklings in tow in the shallows. Another lovely walk.
