It was a miserably damp morning...

... so I headed to Valley Gardens, where, earlier in the week, I had spotted the first dahlia blooms of the season.

I do like photographing them with water droplets catching the light. Today's drizzle had done the trick.

There were only 4 flowers available to photograph - I've included a second one in my extra.
