Underneath the arches

Because we will be getting the garden properly designed next year I am not doing anything with it until then other than keeping the grass cut.  We decided, however, that we would like a couple of Box plants in tubs outside the front door so went to the local nursery to see what was available.  They were very helpful, bearing in mind I know nothing about gardening, giving me details of the right compost to use to plant them and the best way to look after them in the future.  It was good to go to a proper plant nursery rather than a ‘Garden Centre’ which I always find a bit depressing as they tend to be more interested in selling you greetings cards, cheap books, toys and scented candles rather than plants and garden items.

On the way back we took a short detour to look at a village and pub we’d heard had a good reputation.  We passed this old railway bridge on what was the Holt to Melton Constable and Fakenham line.  If the Norfolk Orbital Railway group get their way, this line will be reopened at some time in the future.
