A rose for N.  Our very good friend N died on Wednesday after suffering bad health for the last two years.  She and her husband had been very welcoming when we moved south for S’s work and we continued to see them after we left.  Unfortunately her funeral is confined to 22 people due to Covid social distancing in the church which is a pity as she had been prominent in the community and normally the church would have been full of mourners.  More distressing is that none of the partners of siblings, their five children, grandchildren and the older greatgrandchildren will be able to attend or give support for G.  When N and G visited a few years ago they gave us this cast iron bird set on a large pebble so we have a reminder of them as it sits in our kitchen window.
