Didim
Didim's main boulevard has a central dual carriageway for traffic and then on each side of that there is a treelined access road where you can park, and walk around the shops and cafes, with regularly spaced entrance/exit points to the main road and side streets. Such a good example of urban planning. Today's pic is a side road at 18.00 when we went to the insurance office before going to Draft Burger bar for dinner, where I was very disappointed to discover that the vegetarian burger was unavailable tonight, and I had to make do with a very blah salad and no beer cos the antibiotics don't finish until Sunday. On a more positive note, this was at the end of a day where feeling a bit more the thing I pottered about all morning before spending all afternoon in and by the pool with Graham and Kat in, for the second day, a rather too warm 36ºC.
With the ending of curfew and restrictions next week (though mask wearing is still mandatory in public places), Didim is looking almost normal for nearly July and after a vacation style poolside afternoon in such hot sunshine, it really is starting to feel like a new chapter is about to begin.
