Domestic day

We went to the Farmers’ Market first thing this morning, then put open home signs up for the two open homes this weekend.  On our return home there was sourdough bread to bake (hubby), crackers and biscuits to make (me), fruit and veg to wash and put away, soup to prepare for lunch (hubby), chia seed “jam” to make (me), a variation of Jamie’s Sausage and Mash Pie to make for supper (hubby - see blip) and lots of cleaning up to do (joint). It was a cold, bleak day enlivened by news of the Black Caps’ return with the mace they earned by winning the World Test Championship against India. The travel bubble with Australia is suspended completely for three days while we see what happens with the 14-day lockdown in Sydney. So far there are no community cases from the Sydney man who visited Wellington last weekend and has tested positive for the Delta variant.  It’s all go Down Under, I have to say.
