In transit. Gloucester Services North M5

Just stopped for a coffee going North on the M5.
We couldn’t go and see the family in Bristol due to our youngest granddaughter being sick. So we are well on our way home now.
The M5 South in Somerset had enormous queues that we could see on the opposite carriage way, due to a fatal accident earlier sadly.
The whole road had been closed since 4.00am and was down to one lane only.
It stretched for mile after mile.
A salutary experience for us bringing back lots of unhappy memories.
I’ve stretched my legs walking round the grassy area outside, looking at the newts in the pond that I spotted.
Now fortified by fresh air and greenery in a lovely environment, it’s time to press on with the journey.
