Greatstone Beach
After days of rain and grey the sun returned today. Abandoned my desk at 4pm and grabbed Bae for an evening chilling on the beach.
We watched the RNLI life raft being towed out by the tractor and a couple of horse riders galloping along the beach. Dog walkers were the only other people around.
Along the coast to the north east we could see lights twinkling at Folkestone and to the south the flashing light of the lighthouse at Dungeness. The sun sank around 9pm when we reluctantly headed home.
Fresh sea air and quality time with the great company of my best friend does wonders for the soul.
A year of lockdown walks together among nature made the long months of being separated from family and friends with very little work bearable.
