Marguerite and willow
There are few things that make me wish I had a proper garden, and this is one of them. A scene with a profusion of marguerites and a willow in the background. Taken on the new bit of the Water of Leith walkway. Last year, there were relatively few flowers, but this year there is a profusion. And very attractive it is too, along about 50-75 metres of the path, along the river side. I assume they were cultivated originally, and not self-seeded. Perhaps by the firm that built the new bit of the walkway, as part of the new development there, or perhaps by meles’ mates in the Water of Leith trust. Anyway, I would love to see that scene at the bottom of my garden. But it is not to be.
We managed to get the big job finished by lunchtime. Everyone worked really hard. So I popped to the gym for a short session on the elliptical in the afternoon, and then logged back in to the last session of a conference that has run all week in the bizarre slot of 16.00-18.30 hours, but only for an hour or so. My concentration was shot.
I didn’t get much else done, as I was a bit exhausted after the efforts I’d made for the last two weeks to pull the big job off in a timely way, and frankly I was falling asleep by 7.30pm, so I just drifted to bed very early indeed.
Hence a back blip.
