An early walk to Rydal Cave. I drove to the ‘free before 9am’ car park. 

The blip was taken below the main cave. The foxglove against the rock appealed to me. You might prefer the photos in extras featuring Rydal Water, a stream that’s almost dry, the approach to the cave and just inside it. I didn’t go all the way in. My balance isn’t the best and I didn’t want to risk wet feet or damage to the camera. Realised too late that my wellies were in the car.
