Might as well have a pretentious wank

I've had it with this year's Biennial. It's just bullshit and everything that gives "art" a bad name. The curation has been appalling, uninspiring, dull (is that the same thing) and has made no (or, at best a feeble) attempt to engage.

It's so disappointing. It should be so much more. It should draw people in, the ones who don't often "do" art. It should entertain, inform, challenge, amuse, shock and so on. But when it just makes you go "What the fuck is this all about?" then it's doing it wrong. And, when every exhibit we've seen thus far makes us feel the same way, then you have to wonder if there's any future for it.

I used to devour the Biennial. Now, it's just an irrelevance.
