PINK ELEPHANTS
Another rainy day so I couldn't even sit out the garden. Did a little bit of sorting out but my rubbish bin is full and won't be emptied till Tuesday so I will hang on until its empty before getting stuck in again. The charity bags which should have been collected yesterday weren't collected. So annoying. So they are sitting in the garage waiting for another opportunity to get rid of them.
When I was sorting out today I came across this tie which belonged to my late husband Douglas. Its typical of the quirky ties he used to wear. He loved colourful clothes but all his working life he was either in a suit ( when he worked in a bank and when he worked for an insurance company) - or uniform ( Palestine Police and Metropolitan Police ) so in his free time the colourful outfits made an appearance. He loved it when shell suits were popular as they came in very bright colours. You would often see him wearing clashing bright colours - pink, purple, yellow, red - anything bright. Even his casual shoes were likely be blue, red or green. And when he did have to wear a suit he always wore colourful shirts and quirky ties.

Did the ironing this afternoon and I've been watching The Euros. Shame Wales got beaten but Denmark were definitely the better team. The Italy V Austria match ended in a 0 - 0 draw so they are playing Extra time.
I have added an Extra collage with photos of my Mam Connie. Today would have been her 96th birthday. Sadly she died at the young age of 56. Never forgotten.
