Evening light.
We’ve moved house! This is taken looking over Lochinver Bay as we had an evening stroll after checking in to our B&B for two nights here. It’s just over the hill from the Wee Hoose and as near as we could get to extend our holiday nearby so that we could spend a bit of time with the family before heading home.
They arrived late afternoon from Perth after a lovely day - summer is back! Hope it lasts for them.
In the extra Eda is literally jumping for joy to be here and Jude is a bit bemused by it all but seems to like Granny’s latest knit, a hooded gilet.
Exchanging with them has given us an extra day so with a glorious morning we went to the beach of course then did a bit of packing up and cleaning before setting off to Ullapool by way of a walk around the harbour at Ardmair.
I thought his week would be busy but it’s not been too bad but this morning Ullapool was heaving! They were queuing right down the street for the Seafood Shack half an hour before they open! I wanted to go into a couple of shops we missed earlier in the week and the we took ourselves off to Tea by the Sea for a cup of coffee. Got something to eat from the Deli and sat overlooking the harbour to eat it. By this time they were queuing out of the door at the Chippie too. We got an outdoor table at the Ceilidh Place for a drink before heading back to await the family.
That was our special treat! We had tea together after Chris played Space rabbits with Eda! She has such an imagination.
We then left them to unpack and settle in though there was talk
of beaches and swimming as we left!
We get to see them again tomorrow on a different beach, yippee!
Sorry I’m so late posting, no time for comments tonight
