low and high
We started the morning with coffee and cake and the independent SAGE report. I considered to skip it because I was doubting I could find out anything new. I am glad I watched it. The focus was on how women in were more affected by the pandemic. I keep thinking this pandemic is shining a bright light on all the problems in our society. It call for solutions that deal with inequalities and a misplaced focus on material wealth and disregard for occupations involving care.
Walk to Leith to stock up on supplies and fresh air. Some graffiti was admired and I took the opportunity to checkout the progress of the tram works.
The new St James Centre has opened (see extra). We used it as a shortcut to get to St Andrew Square. It was busy. It reminded me of Ocean Terminal. But overall I was somewhat underwhelmed.
