Monthly weigh in..........

B***dy hell, it's the 15th of the month already.......
Time is supposed to be a relative dimension, frankly the only thing it's relative to is age........
The older i get the faster it passes, the weeks just, well to say they fly past would be an understatement, oops there goes another 168 hours i won't see again..........
Anyway, the 15th of the month is weigh in day for the tortoises, we weigh them monthly just to make sure we're not under or over feeding them.
We have graphs for both of our tortoises covering the last three years, and both show a steady and sutained growth for Kinny and Volvi.
The image shows Kinny on the scales weighing in at 1569 grammes, he's slightly larger and heavier than his brother who weighed in at 1531 grammes.
Their diet over the winter usually includes large amounts of Common Mallow, this year there's none to be had within 2 square miles of home..........
Normally their food is collected when either Bev or myself are out walking Pepsi our dog.
This winter finding suitable fresh food for them has been something of a treasure hunt, but they seem to be thriving so we must be doing somethimg right.
