Nothing but blue sky

and sweltering heat. I thought I'd pick some salad greens and onions this morning before it got too hot - but it already was when I went out just after 8am. I didn't think I'd go for a walk but I felt the need to get some exercise, so I headed to Xwaaqw'um where I knew the trail and road were mostly in the shade. Not a long walk but a good one, and I was glad I went. I had to place to myself. Bliss. It was 32 degrees when I headed home and is much hotter now. It's supposed to get even hotter until Tuesday then the forecast is for cooler temperatures. Sure hope so.
G was busy in the shade this morning. Can you spot him in the extra? This wood from a dead tree that he cut down last year had been stacked in rounds to dry, and over the past couple of days, he's been splitting it. Now the split wood will be restacked. He finished just before the Italy/Austria game came on. What a nail biter!  Italy dodged a couple of bullets and ended up with a great win. Had to call Renata right away because I knew she'd be shouting as loud as we were at the end!  
Off to relax in the shade now for an hour or so before I make supper.
