Disturbing?

I was photographing a small bee when this bigger bee flew in and landed on it......it stayed there for a second.....it happened so quickly that I didn't know what had happened.......I am still not sure.....the little bee seemed to be okay, but I didn't watch long enough to be sure. I moved on to another pretty bee.....I wish I would have watched a little longer. Do you think this was an attack? I am thinking now it might have been.

Already 102 F (38.89 C) now.......tomorrow will be much warmer.    (Later I looked at the high for today here was 107F)
