First day at the pool this year!

The pool is still too cold but the hot tub is perfect. The kiddos even ran through the kiddie pool that is just a foot deep. Here Ezra and his friend Aubrey are destroying an ant bed that had the audacity to build up over the winter.

There is little I look forward to more than evenings at the pool during our sweltering summers. Particularly after a day of climbing into and out of cars that are suffocatingly hot.

Cold drink sweating in hand, legs dangling in cool water, and if we're lucky a nice breeze. Kiddos squealing in shear delight, splashing about, fingers shriveling, parents echoing one another...no running.

Ahhh, summer.
