Refinishing

I spent the afternoon removing what was left of the finish on the top of this dresser.  It was my grandparents', and then my parents'.  I sent it to my daughter when my mother passed away; now my daughter is downsizing and brought it to me.  Her kids had done a number on it, with lots of the finish ruined and a few scattered paint spots.  
Today was cool enough that I could work on it in the garage with the door open. Now we will need to sand it and put new finish on it.  I'm afraid the weather is going to be too hot for this project in the foreseeable future.  But there's really no rush.
