Green Surrey

We love the woodlands in our area and enjoy the walks amongst the trees. We had a good walk this morning with Xena, ending up at a café for coffee. Surrey is England's most wooded county, with woodland covering over a fifth of the county. A quarter of these are recorded as ancient woodland, areas rich in wildlife that have been part of the Surrey landscape for centuries.


A bit of a grey day and now it is drizzling lightly. It has been a quiet day - things will be a bit more lively once Tommy gets back from university next week, it will be lovely to have him home again. Also good that he had his first vaccine yesterday, and hopefully with all the walk in clinics in our area he can get the second one sooner than the initial plan of 12 weeks apart. The government are keen to get everyone vaccinated as soon as possible, particularly the young who currently have the highest infection rates, so you can get the second vaccine after 8 weeks now at these clinics.
