Worn out

A bit like me this ox-eye is a bit worn out. I've no idea where the day or the weekend went, and like the week before it's been a blur of not achieving things.

Today was the local elections and as expected the local mayor's chums where parachuted in place, but the turn out was utterly dire, so a bit of a let down really overall. My wife put a lot of effort into the campaign, but in reality is was always going to be an uphill struggle against the establishment, they have deep pockets to make up for their inadequate numbers, and while the smaller parties have some volunteers the don't have the numbers to make up the difference....

At least the Tour was devoid of unplanned excitement, which is good.
