Creep

A colleague has started to come back into the office after recovering from back surgery. She has been in agonising pain for several months and when working has only been able to stand.

Her desk is on the opposite side of the room from mine and I glanced over and saw her sitting; a sign of gradual improvement. I messaged to say I was happy to observe her sitting. Taken out of context and without any preamble, it sounded like something creepy a stalker would come out with. We laughed.

A grey day of limited excitement. The hordes were out around King’s College during my lunchtime walk.
