Wet Poppy
First day of the school holidays and it was a rather grey and damp morning. TT headed out for his first run in about three months. I made pancakes, as requested by BB. He then scoffed a plateful of them. Later TT and I went down town to the Farmer’s market. As has become a habit for him of late, he stocked up on Scotch eggs and beer. I purchased nothing! We wandered through town and picked up some bits and pieces for lunch.
After lunch TT did some serous weeding and I did some chores. Later on it was brightening up so we went for a wee walk. We both felt it a little cool compared to days of late. We had both worn coats when we were out this morning, but had headed out without coats. Once we changed direction and were out of the breeze it wasn’t so bad.
TT volunteered to cook tea, and BB announced he was going to meet friends to play football – it was the best part of the day weatherwise. Meanwhile I was surfing the web in search of a new waterproof coat and new waterproof walking shoes – getting ready for a Scottish summer holiday.
Later there was more Lupin, but as ever I snoozed so went to bed.
This lovely little poppy was rather drookit today. It did dry off later in the day (extra) and perked up.
