Hoop

We went to Ely this afternoon. Normally, we’d get the train, wander round, have a couple of pub breaks (but not in the Fountain, because it’s always shut when we get there, apart from one time. We played chess, and it was my go, and I was looking for some sort of sneaky move when I noticed something. ‘How long’, I said to Mr Pandammonium, ‘have you been in check?’) and go home again.

Today, we went in the car and didn’t go in any pubs. It was nice to have a change of scene, but it wasn’t the same.
