Lunching today in a delightful establishment (The Sun Inn in Kirkby Lonsdale) I thought there was something about the chairs which oozed history. The word Titanic sprang to mind.

Upon enquiry of Mine Host I was informed (with an accompanying photo as proof positive) that these were from the Tourist Class Saloon (wot! Not First Class?! Pshaw!) on the Mauretania - sister ship of the Titanic no less. Psychic, me, or what?
