Opthalmology
This morning Lincoln had his optician appointment. This opticians is 101 years old. They didn't get to celebrate last year because of covid. This is a family run business. And it was the opticians grandad that started it all those years ago.
Lincoln did so well. I had explained why I had made the appointment because of his headaches so he checked the nerves and other things behind his eyes.
He is a little shortsighted and one eye is a lot better than the other. His right eye is a little lazy too so he's getting referred up to the hospital opthalmologist to see if he needs a wee patch. And he should have glasses by the end of the week. He did say that his eyesight shouldn't be causing him those headaches but I'm glad we made the appointment and found out he does need glasses.
It's been a busy afternoon. We spent a lot of time at the park with my friend and her son and we had Mikey come round too for a play and then to the park. I think he will spend a lot of time with us during the summer. It's sad to see him walk the neighborhood and not have anyone to play with. And he doesn't quite understand that I have to get things sorted before we can all go out and play.
I did however manage to start a painting. It will be a challenge as it's a building and I've never done one before, but there is no pressure. If it doesn't work out it doesn't work out . It's for a friend of Mr R's .
First day of the diet is nearly over. Because it's calorie controlled it's only 600 calories but I know that that's not enough for me to function so I have had a bowl of gherkins and two boiled eggs too. We will see how it goes. It's the wine I will miss ;-))
