Rosmary Beetle

Hubby spotted these irridescent beetles on the lavender (not rosemary). What an amazing pattern they have. They are an invasive species in the UK but despite the name Chrysolina americana, this leaf beetle is native and common to southern Europe, North Africa, the Near East and the Middle East.
