Meet Mario
Diane said she was free for a mall walk today, so we chose Wafi. It's close to us and offers plenty of room to walk around, even avoiding all the people who come to make visa applications!
We started though, by having a look around Matalan! It was fun just browsing. We then walked to Pyramids and noticed that the door was open to the Italian restaurant (which has long been closed). I wanted to see what was happening, so we walked in. It was empty but we could hear people talking. We then heard the voices coming towards us, so we ran out, except we got spotted! (Yikes!)
I went back to own up to being curious as to what was happening with the restaurant, so the man proceeded to tell us. Long story short, he ended up giving us his business card and this very cute stuffed toy. Well, two. G and Diane willingly accepted. (It's taken a while to settle on names for them). We discovered later it was the General Manager we were speaking with!
We then darted into Khan Murjan. Wafi's ultra-luxurious underground souk, so Marco had to pose as he's now starting to have adventures of his own. A couple of other shots in the extra...
Coffee at Segafredo and a quick look in M&S and shop in Carrefour and we were back home for lunch. G had a 4 pm Zoom meeting with her kid in Doha who wanted to say "thank you" and "bye" for the summer. Sweet!
We raced out to Aramex to collect a package of goodies that arrived from the UK. Essentials like PG Tips, Olay, OXO cubes... :)))
