Mushroom Monday.....

Staff shortage partly eased ,so sent him off to finish clearing up dung where the lambing paddocks had been in the lambing field.I loaded up some fertiliser and my gate opener ( Littlemiss) and headed off to spread a load in the spring calving cows field, as it is getting fairly bare .
Once that was done , spent the afternoon making a start on scraping out the silage pit and sorting out the plastic sheets to hang round the walls.
Nipped down the road to check the cattle tonight. One of the Hereford hefs has gone lame since the weekend. Will keep an eye on her, might need a big jag of antibiotics yet. We shall see.
Spotted these fungi on one of the big trees this morning. The limb they are on is dead inside , presume that’s why they are growing there .
