Daylilies

The first daylily bloomed yesterday.   I had almost forgotten what was planted there until it bloomed.   My husband always did most of the yard work and he kept our property looking very good and well cared for.   However, I'm very sorry to say that he passed away four years ago.   I totally neglected the yard for the first two years but have worked last summer and this year to try to put it back into order.   Easier said than done.   There is still a lot to do to make up for my neglect but I think I'm beginning to make some progress.   
I checked the Pollen Bee Nest that is installed on the shed and yes, it is being used!    A bee was just leaving when I looked at it today and one of the tubes is now full of eggs and closed off by the bee.    The nest can be left there or taken inside the shed for the winter and the new bees will be ready to emerge in the spring..
