Starlings over the Rosa Mundi

The bird feeders are being stripped every day but never quicker than when a team of, I think, juvenile starlings, turn up and bombard them;  squabbling and flapping, pecking each other as much as the food.

Torrential rain in the evening reminds me there is a phenomenon called the June Monsoon.  The Rosa Mundi is looking a bit battered but hopefully some sun will bring the remaining buds out.  It is a truly lovely rose.
