My Brother - A Back Garden Character Study
Hurrah! Today was our last full day of isolation - it has felt like a long 8 days not being able to leave the house except to venture into our garden.
Today's shot was taken in our back garden again using my brother as my model. It was actually inspired by a photographic portrait of Sir Ian McKellen in The Observer magazine.
He was wearing what looked like a very expensive 'blanket' coat and a Paul Smith scarf whilst eating a cherry from the top of a designer cake. My image is the budget version - my brother is wearing what he calls his "Morat Yestigneyev" coat (a prop from a long ago theatrical production my sister was involved in) which has been gathering a healthy layer of dust in our loft, a hat from a fancy dress costume and a t-shirt about unthinking consumerism whilst eating a grape with a pile of dishes on his lap (representing some of the copious amounts of washing up we have had to undertake during isolation - not quite as glamorous as a designer cake)! The shades are the model's own.
