A single parent now

A month ago, I blipped a photo of the cygnets that had just hatched at Strichen Lake.
Sadly, the mother swan took ill at the weekend and was taken away for treatment but she didn’t make it.
The male swan has been left to look after their young and it will be quite a challenge for him.
Hopefully, they will all make it through. They seemed to be doing well this morning.
