An early start for a tough volunteer shift, it's good to help, but sometimes it's also hard.

Clearly that had taken a toll on my subconscious. I couldn't settle to study or work and slowly found myself building the new woodstore, a job I'd intended to do weeks hence. Sometimes you just need to be lost to the doing for a while... or maybe just hit things with a hammer. Both worked.

Dropped in on a board meeting of the British Association of International Mountain Leaders this evening, great to be one step removed but to see the team I built laughing and getting stuff done. Smiles all round.

Another nature blip, not a bad thing. This was a lovely clash of colour in the wild (well wilder) but of the garden.
