Cat's Eye

I am thoroughly enjoying what can be done with photo editing and now find myself also looking at things in terms of light and texture, or for a small detail or silhouette. Of course editing everything on my phone requires glasses since the screen is small, and my clumsy fingers are a limiting factor. I suspect this will be a passing phase, but for now it's a nice diversion.

I made this image by following the cat around until she let me get a decent photo of her face from close up, and then layering on an image of a linocut given to me by my brother years ago which is currently hanging in the kitchen. 

Today was uncomfortably hot and humid. I left the house at 5am to get a walk in before things warmed up, and by the time I got home at 9 was satisfied to just sit around the house all day. During the middle of the afternoon I just napped in front of the fan. Napping is not something I normally do but it can be pretty nice sometimes.
