the Mediterranean from Vernazza
Today: arrived at La Spezia Centrale at 4:30am, ate cheese and crackers amidst sleeping homeless men, walked around La Spezia, got to Vernazza (one of the villages in Cinque Terre), commenced to be blown away by the beauty of the place. The town was small and so cute, and was nestled between the clear blue sea and the terraced vineyards on the mountains above. Nice lunch of bread, cheese, and wine on this pier in the sun, took a nap on the rocks on the water, and later had dinner at a nice restaurant, watched by a rotund man who spit when he talked. But he was nice. And our hostel was really cozy. Such a beautiful place.
