Gabriel’s Road

Gabriel’s Road was the old road from Edinburgh to Stockbridge used by trades people. It survives only at its extremities. This stairway is where it comes out next to the Stockbridge Colonies. The start of the road is at the east end of Princes Street beside the Guildford Arms and Register House.
