Iris germanica 'Immortality'

I bought this bearded Iris yesterday at a garden centre that I hadn't visited since it moved quite a few miles further away from here back in the spring.

Unfortunately when I arrived home the bud had fallen off, but I put it in a glass jar overnight and this morning it had blossomed spectacularly on our kitchen windowsill.
