Stubborn Invader

This plant has been a very stubborn weed. I've tried to uproot it, I've cut it down to ground level, and I've poisoned it. Like cutting it off at the base, poisoning only had a short-lived effect. It looks quite robust one week away from Spring, wouldn't you say? I guess I need to go after the roots with a shovel.
