A wonderful day out

Today we went on an excursion to Kawau Island with ten others from our Tuesday morning walking group.  We drove just over an hour to Sandspit, where we caught the Royal Mail Run Cruise to the island.  We stopped off at various bays around the island, dropping off mail and supplies before the ferry dropped us at Mansion House Bay, where we had an hour to go for a walk before boarding the ferry to return to the mainland.  It was a glorious day, the sun sparkled, the sky was blue and we had a wonderful day out. The main blip and the extra give a flavour of the island.  Hubby can’t wait to go back and explore the island properly.
